Ingredients
-
2 pounds ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
-
1 cup breadcrumbs
-
½ cup milk
-
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
-
1 small onion, finely chopped
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
½ cup ketchup
-
½ cup Texan Heartland Lone Star Reserve Hot Sauce (divided)
-
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions
Preheat oven: Heat to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a loaf pan.
Mix the meatloaf: In a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs and milk, letting sit for 2 minutes to absorb. Add ground beef, eggs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire, salt, pepper, ketchup, and ¼ cup of Texan Heartland Lone Star Reserve Hot Sauce. Mix gently until just combined.
Shape and bake: Shape mixture into a loaf on the prepared baking sheet (or press into loaf pan). Bake for 40 minutes.
Glaze: In a small bowl, mix remaining ¼ cup Texan Heartland Lone Star Reserve Hot Sauce with 2 tablespoons ketchup. Spread evenly over the meatloaf. Return to oven for 15–20 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
Rest and serve: Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley and serve.
Recipe Note
Leftovers make incredible sandwiches — just add a drizzle of Texan Heartland Lone Star Reserve Hot Sauce for extra heat.
