Texan Heartland began in northwest Houston with breakfast tacos, good company, and one unforgettable hot sauce that founder JP Clark could not stop thinking about.

In early 2023, as JP began a personal health journey, he stepped away from a regular morning taco-shop ritual with work peers—but not from the bold flavors he missed. Determined to recreate one unforgettable hot sauce at home, he began experimenting in his kitchen.

After months of trials, his first homemade hot sauce came together in June 2023. JP shared it with friends and coworkers, and the response was immediate. What started as a personal project quickly became something more. On July 3, 2023, Texan Heartland LLC was formed.

From early sales in parking lots to long weekends at local farmers’ markets, Texan Heartland grew through direct conversations with customers who cared about flavor, food, and the moments shared around the table. Those early days shaped the brand’s purpose: to create Texas-crafted products that make meals more memorable.

Today, Texan Heartland has grown beyond the hot sauces that started it all. Our lineup now includes award-winning hot sauces, sauces and marinades, gourmet jams, and seasonings—all made in Texas with a flavor-first commitment and created for the way people cook, gather, gift, and share.

What began with one homemade sauce is now a Texas-made specialty food brand built on a simple belief: great flavor brings people together. That belief is still at the heart of every bottle, jar, and blend we make.
