Cheesy, crispy, and packed with flavor — these Loaded Serrano Quesadillas are the perfect quick meal or party favorite. Fresh veggies and gooey cheese are tucked inside golden tortillas, then finished with the bold kick of our Serrano Sunfire Hot Sauce. A simple, satisfying way to enjoy Texan comfort food with serious zest.
Ingredients
-
2 large flour tortillas
-
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese
-
½ cup sautéed onions and bell peppers
-
½ cup cooked chicken, beef, or black beans (optional)
-
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
-
2–3 tablespoons Texan Heartland Serrano Sunfire Hot Sauce
-
Sour cream and guacamole, for serving
Directions
Prepare filling: In a skillet, sauté onions and peppers until softened. If using chicken, beef, or beans, mix them in at this stage.
Assemble quesadilla: Lay one tortilla flat. Spread cheese evenly, then add veggies (and protein, if using). Drizzle with Texan Heartland Serrano Sunfire Hot Sauce and top with the second tortilla.
Cook: Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook quesadilla 3–4 minutes per side, pressing lightly, until golden brown and cheese melts.
Slice and serve: Cut into wedges and serve hot with sour cream and guacamole.
Recipe Note
Brush the outside of the tortillas with a touch of butter mixed with Serrano Sunfire before cooking. This creates an ultra-crispy, flavorful crust you’ll crave every time.
