With their golden edges, jewel-like centers, and a hint of pecan richness, they’re the perfect bite-sized treat for holidays, tea time, or anytime you want to share something special.
Ingredients
-
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
-
2/3 cup granulated sugar
-
2 large egg yolks
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
2 cups all-purpose flour
-
1/4 tsp salt
-
1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
-
1/2 cup Texan Heartland Peach Amaretto Pecan Jam
Directions
Preheat oven: Set to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Make the dough: Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg yolks and vanilla. Add flour and salt, mixing until combined.
Form cookies: Roll dough into 1-inch balls, then roll in chopped pecans to coat. Place on the baking sheet.
Add thumbprints: Press a small indentation into the center of each ball with your thumb or the back of a spoon.
Fill with jam: Spoon about 1/2 teaspoon of Texan Heartland Peach Amaretto Pecan Jam into each indentation.
Bake: Bake 12–15 minutes, until edges are golden. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
Recipe Note
For a festive twist, dust the cooled cookies lightly with powdered sugar — it highlights the jam’s golden-orange hue and adds a holiday touch.
