Ingredients
-
4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each, skin on)
-
½ cup Texan Heartland Caribbean Pineapple Hot Sauce
-
2 tbsp honey
-
2 tbsp soy sauce
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
Juice of 1 lime
-
Salt & pepper, to taste
-
Fresh cilantro or parsley, for garnish
-
Lime wedges, for serving
Directions
Preheat Grill: Heat to medium-high and lightly oil the grates.
Prepare Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together Texan Heartland Caribbean Pineapple Hot Sauce, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, and lime juice.
Season Salmon: Pat salmon fillets dry, then season lightly with salt and pepper.
Grill Salmon: Place salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Cook 4–5 minutes per side, brushing generously with glaze as it cooks.
Finish: Remove from grill once salmon flakes easily with a fork and glaze is slightly caramelized.
Serve: Plate with extra glaze, fresh cilantro, and lime wedges.
Recipe Note
For even more flavor, marinate the salmon in half the glaze for 30 minutes before grilling — then use the rest for basting. It locks in sweetness while letting the habanero heat shine through.
