Hearty, smoky, and made for the grill, these Texas Beef Kebabs bring steakhouse flavor to a simple, crowd-friendly meal. Texan Heartland Smokehouse Beef & Steak Seasoning coats tender pieces of beef with savory smoke, roasted garlic, toasted onion, pepper, mustard, mushroom powder, and chile warmth, creating a bold crust that pairs perfectly with charred peppers and onions.
Ingredients
-
1½ pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1½-inch cubes
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
2 tablespoons Texan Heartland Smokehouse Beef & Steak Seasoning
-
1 red bell pepper, cut into large pieces
-
1 green bell pepper, cut into large pieces
-
1 yellow onion, cut into large pieces
-
8 ounces whole mushrooms, optional
-
Wooden or metal skewers
-
Fresh parsley, optional for garnish
Directions
Prepare the skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling.
Season the beef: Toss steak cubes with olive oil and Texan Heartland Smokehouse Beef & Steak Seasoning until evenly coated.
Build the kebabs: Thread beef, bell peppers, onion, and mushrooms onto skewers, alternating ingredients.
Preheat the grill: Heat grill to medium-high and lightly oil the grates.
Grill the kebabs: Cook for 10-12 minutes, turning every few minutes, until the beef is browned and cooked to desired doneness.
Rest briefly: Transfer kebabs to a platter and rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Serve hot: Garnish with parsley if desired and serve with rice, potatoes, or a fresh salad.
Recipe Note
For more even cooking, keep the beef pieces similar in size and avoid packing the skewers too tightly. Leaving a little space between each piece helps the heat reach all sides, creating better browning and a more flavorful smokehouse crust.
